Dear colleagues and friends,
The Spanish Environmental Mutagenesis and Genomics Society (SEMA) is proud to announce our 30th Scientific Meeting that will be hold in A Coruña from June 10th to 12th, 2026. The congress, entitled “An Atlantic glance on mutagenesis: enlightening the pathway from Genetics to One Health”, will be organized in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Center for Chemistry and Biology (CICA) of the University of A Coruña (UDC).
Our scientific program will cover a wide range of areas related to genomics and environmental mutagenesis, including the latest advancements in the field. Together with scientific sessions with keynote lectures and short communications, we will have time for interaction and networking with members of academia, industry, regulators and relevant stakeholders. We expect that the stimulating environment will encourage fruitful scientific discussions, engage young scientists actively, and contribute to strengthening bonds among participants useful for new future projects.
Located on the Atlantic coast of Galicia in Northwestern Spain, A Coruña is a vibrant city that blends history, culture, and natural beauty. Known as “the city where nobody is a foreigner”, it is home to the Tower of Hercules, the world’s oldest working lighthouse and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as a wealth of cultural institutions, including museums, galleries, and research centers. Its coastal landscape with the longest promenade in Europe (more than 15 km), rich gastronomy, and dynamic public spaces offer a unique setting to complement the scientific interactions.
We look forward to welcoming you to A Coruña in June, and to sharing with you an inspiring and productive meeting.
Warm regards,
SEMA Executive Committee
