PhD Position Available – Micro- and Nanoplastics & Human Health

We are looking for a highly motivated PhD candidate to join the Mutagenesis Group at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) under the supervision of Prof. Alba Hernández Bonilla. The successful applicant will develop their doctoral research in the emerging and highly relevant field of micro- and nanoplastics and their effects on human health.
This project will explore the toxicological and mechanistic impacts of micro- and nanoplastics using advanced in vitro systems and molecular approaches. The topic is of high societal and scientific interest, aligned with current global concerns and regulatory agendas.

Requirements:
- Applicants must hold a degree in biology, genetics, biomedicine, environmental sciences, toxicology, or a related field.
- A degree academic record > 7.5/10 on the Spanish grading scale.
- Applicants must hold, or be in the process of completing, a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Biology, Genetics, Biomedicine, Environmental Sciences, Toxicology, or a related field that qualifies for admission to a PhD program.
